The common goal of bconnex and its brands is to offer our customers a single entry point into the safe, sustainable, and responsible provision and management of the end-user work environment.
We are also convinced that IT and CSR can go hand in hand. And, in fact, that's what we're all about!
💡 Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) is defined by the European Commission as the responsibility of companies for the effects they have on society. In other words, CSR refers to companies' contribution to the challenges of sustainable development.
The various bconnex entities have all been committed to a positive impact approach since their creation.
The supply of refurbished equipment, the repair, and the recycling and recovery of IT devices are just part of our commitment to combining IT with environmental and social commitment.
💡 bconnex is a B2B expert and facilitator of IT and green IT solutions, equipping end-users with the most suitable products or services with the lowest possible environmental impact. We also offer mobile fleet management and cybersecurity solutions.
Therefore, at bconnex, we demonstrate our commitment to CSR in various ways.
At bconnex, our DNA is to be among the pioneers:
We've even been awarded an Ecovadis bronze medal in recognition of our CSR approach, our environmental actions, our social actions, and much more.
But our absolute goal? That one day bconnex may be among the first to achieve carbon neutrality.
Discover below some of our CSR actions and how we implement them 👇🏻
What is cetooce, and what is its purpose?
In 2024, we at bconnex decided to strengthen our environmental commitment by creating cetooce, a Social and Solidarity Economy (SSE) company.
Cetooce strives to reduce the carbon footprint of companies by repairing and refurbishing smartphones and PCs to give them a second life.
Each device we handle is meticulously inspected, tested, and refurbished through 40 checkpoints to ensure optimum performance. This enables us to offer our customers reliable and responsible alternatives to new products.
cetooce’s process for refurbishing or recycling IT assets
bconnex’s goal of streamlining processes continues with cetooce, where a 5-step-only process for refurbishing and recycling IT assets has been put in place.
It all starts with an inventory phase, where clients identify electronic devices they wish to resell for refurbishing/recycling purposes and assess their condition.
In this phase, cetooce assesses the buy-back value of the devices based on the client’s specs and assessment.
cetooce makes a point of making valuation as transparent as possible and offers buy-back proposals independent of the devices' aesthetic state, with no devaluation linked to a few scratches, for example. The presence of accessories also does not influence the valuation.
Once the assets are collected after the appraisal, cetooce works to confirm their condition and buy-back value.
💡 cetooce tests all devices at 40 checkpoints, free of charge.
Units showing signs of breakage or failure (e.g., broken or non-functional screen) are re-evaluated, and the buy-back price is resubmitted to the client’s agreement.
The assets are sent back if the new offer doesn’t meet clients’ expectations.
Once the final buy-back value has been submitted and the clients have accepted the terms, cetooce proceeds to the effective buy-back of the devices.
Here, no additional costs are required, neither for logistics nor for data wiping – cetooce’s prices are all-inclusive.
💡 cetooce offers 2 levels of data wiping: standard level and blancco-certified erasure. Client’s choice!
cetooce processes all IT assets for either repairing, refurbishing or recycling. Within 15 days, clients receive the data-wiping certificates.
💡 blancco’s solutions have been tested, certified, and approved to ensure compliance with the most rigorous regulatory standards. The awarding body for the certification depends on the country:

Non-refurbished assets are then recycled with our network associations with WEEE certificates. Recycling is carried out in France under sustainable conditions that encourage the employment of people with disabilities.
Since 2018, the Connexing entity has obtained the B Corp label, a movement that promotes strong values of change throughout the world to make companies “a force for good” and distinguish those that reconcile profit and collective interest.
💡 Connexing was the first French company in the IT hardware supply market to join B Corp.
The aim of B Corp is to certify companies that integrate social, societal and environmental objectives into their business model and operations. Through their business model, certified companies seek not to be the best IN the world but the best FOR the world.
Our objectives
As a company, we recognize our responsibility to the planet and future generations.
That's why in 2022, Connexing undertook a 3-scope carbon footprint assessment for several crucial reasons, each rooted in our commitment to sustainability, environmental responsibility, and taking concrete steps to reduce our carbon footprint.
Our approach stems from our commitment to sustainability, our desire to measure and improve our environmental performance, and our concern to meet the expectations of our stakeholders. The results guide us towards concrete actions to reduce our carbon footprint, reinforcing our position as a responsible company.
Connexing updated its carbon data at the end of 2024, and then the betoobe and cetooce entities will carry out their first carbon analysis. This will enable a global assessment at group level and a global result that will enable collective action plans for the group.
Our methodology for the carbon footprint assessment
We use the Toovalu platform to collect data, and then analyze over 150 emissions factors, according to scopes 1, 2 and 3 of the carbon footprint created by the ADEME (“Agence de la transition écologique”, the French agency for the ecological transition).
💡 Scope 1: direct emissions: direct emissions from company-owned and controlled resources. In other words, emissions are released into the atmosphere as a direct result of a set of activities, at a firm level
💡 Scope 2: indirect emissions – owned: indirect emissions from the generation of purchased energy from a utility provider
💡 Scope 3: indirect emissions - not owned: all indirect emissions (not included in scope 2) that occur in the value chain of the reporting company, including both upstream and downstream emissions. In other words, emissions are linked to the company's operations.
At bconnex, another way of affirming our commitment is to be a signatory of the Responsible Digital Charter, proposed by the INR (Institut du Numérique Responsable), the French Institute for Sustainable IT:
Why this commitment to INR?
Digital technology is revolutionizing the way organizations operate at breakneck speed. It is a source of innovation and progress, reflecting their modernity to the point of becoming a showcase for their know-how. If well managed and thought through in terms of impact, it can be a formidable tool for creating new sustainable values, more respectful of the environment, and more ethical towards society.
Through its Apriconnex project, bconnex supports local farming and contributes to the absorption of carbon emissions by collaborating with GB Exploitation, a plantation in the South of France. This plantation illustrates our commitment to sustainable, local agriculture while complementing our carbon reduction and contribution strategy.
In concrete terms:
How do apricot trees help capture CO₂?
On the one hand, the leaves absorb CO₂; on the other hand, the water and mineral salts captured by the roots help them grow.
Over the years, these trees will store carbon while producing delicious fruit.
We aim to push this project further each year (you know us), and by the end of 2025, we hope to plant 1,300 more trees.
bconnex created the SSE cetooce to support its customers in the areas of refurbishing and recycling. Still, we also have our Mobilehub platform to help our customers in all other aspects across the entire lifecycle of IT assets.
Our CSR vision doesn’t only involve bconnex’ actions, it also involves helping our customers implement CSR for their own IT assets. If we all work together, we can have a tenfold impact.
Just as we constantly challenge ourselves as a company to go further in our environmental commitment, at bconnex, our aim with MobileHub is to help our clients do the same for the sake of our shared Planet.
What is Mobilehub?
MobileHub is a platform that dedicated to the management of IT assets fleet. It encompasses the entire lifecycle of IT assets, from the purchase up to recycling, as well as matters of cybersecurity, green IT, and much more. It helps IT managers get a global view of their fleet on a single, interconnected platform.
💡MobileHub in numbers
By having features that allow for the optimization of their environmental impact, our clients commit environmentally to our Planet as well, helping us at bconnex go a step further.
Some Mobilehub features include:
In collaboration with the Bureaux du Coeur association, bconnex makes the premises of Connexing Nantes' branch available for individual emergency accommodation in the evenings and weekends.
When unoccupied, these premises serve a worthy cause and help many people in need.
💡 Since 2021, 9 guests have already been welcomed into our Nantes offices (around 2 people per year), with the aim of finding a roof over their heads and a stable job.
How does it work?
bconnex has teamed up with Le Pouvoir d'Agir des Parents Aidants and BabySafe Solution to raise awareness of the reality of parent carers.
We are committed to highlighting the daily challenges these people face through articles on our website and several LinkedIn publications.
💡A caregiver is someone who comes to the aid of a family member who is ill, unwell, or losing their autonomy, even though this is not their job. Their help involves assistance with daily living, moral support, and even financial aid.
This partnership aims to inform the public about the crucial role played by caregivers while reinforcing recognition of their contribution to society.
We are proud to belong, since 2023, to this community that enables us to promote our CSR actions and to inspire and be inspired by other committed entrepreneurs: the Coq Vert community.
The Coq Vert Community is a community of business leaders who are convinced of the need for action and are already committed to the ecological and energetic transition.
Launched by BPI France, in partnership with ADEME (the French Environment and Energy Management Agency) and the French Ministry of Ecological Transition, this community aims to encourage the sharing of expertise between committed entrepreneurs.
At bconnex, CSR is not just a box to check — it is deeply embedded in our DN, is how we operate, drives everything we do. Whether it’s through refurbishing IT equipment, reducing carbon footprints, or supporting social initiatives, we believe that technology and responsibility should go hand in hand.
We don’t claim to have all the answers, but we’re constantly pushing ourselves to do better —experimenting, improving, and involving our employees, clients and partners in the process.
Because every action matters, we will continue to innovate and explore new ways to make IT more sustainable, one step at a time.
